Before introducing alloy seamless steel tube, let us introduce what’s meaning of alloy steel tube.

Alloy steel means except steel and iron elements, other alloy elements also be added in it. So we call it alloy steel. Except normal carbon elements, there is one or more alloy steel be added in it, we call it iron carbon alloy steel.

What are the elements which affect alloy steel?

1. Carbon : Adding further carbon elements, yield strength and tensile strength is higher. But the plasticity and impact will be reduced. If carbon content is more than 0.23%, welding steel performance is worse. So when low alloy steel be welded, carbon elements is less than 0.20%.

2. Silicon: It is used as reductant and deoxidizer, if add more silicon content, reduce welding performance.

3. Manganese:It likes good deoxidizer and desulfurizer. More manganese educe the corrosion resistance of steel and the welding performance.

4. Phosphorus:In general, phosphorus is harmful elements in steel and increasing steel cold brittleness, make bad welding performance and reduce the plastic, the cold bending performance go bad. Therefore typically is less than 0.045%, the phosphorus content exceed in high-quality steel.

Alloy steel can be divided different level according to different component of the alloy element.

Low alloy steel: the content of the alloy elements is less than 5%.

Middle ally steel: the content of the alloy elements is 5%-10%.

High alloy steel :the content of the alloy elements is exceed 10%.
