Seamless Steel Pipe Application for shock absorber

Our precision carbon seamless steel pipes are widely used in shock absorber, gas spring, rear and front damper.

If we want to produce the seamless steel pipes in high quality. We must know clearly what the steel pipes used for. And what the most important size of it.

Shock absorber rear and front pipes are our main steel pipes which are widely used in motorcycle, electrombile. And it is also our hot sales carbon seamless steel pipes. 

It is not enough to know what the steel pipes used for. It is better to know the common process of how the shock absorbers are made. For example, Rear shock absorber is made by steel pipes, steel springs, and other spare parts like as bolts and nut, the seal kit and others. We just focus on the steel tube’s part. When customers get our steel pipes. First step is cutting them to fixed length, almost we send customers the random length 5-5.8m long. And customers will cut them into 560mm or 570mm per piece which is depends on the final products demands.

After then the short and fixed length steel pipes should be straightened by the straightening machine. Although we see the steel pipes are straight by eyes. But they are must higher precision to install easily and keep the piston inside move up and down smoothly. So each step is strict and necessary. After straightening they should be processed by CNC machine. And then grinding the surface. The outside surface must be a great deal of smooth and precision. If not the last step hard chroming and lapping process will fail to proceed. Finishing the seamless steel pipes treatment. They should be installed to end products reducer dampers. Put the steel piston into the steel pipes inside. And cover the steel spring outside of steel tubes.

So inside diameter is very important. If it is bigger it is not able to work normally. It is smaller it is too tight to install the piston. So the higher precision inside diameter tolerance control is most important in our producing. For outside diameter also very important but the nice surface not hard spot, scallops, scratch. The long steel pipes should be straighten in our factory as well. No obviously bent. Like these if we don’t know clearly the process of shock absorbers producing process we don’t know the steel pipes special demands. Although we can produce by the standard DIN 2391 or EN10305-1. But it is not enough to let our customers satisfactory.

After these series treatment our high precision carbon seamless steel pipes are never rust and wok well in each motorcycle and electrombile.
